Hevert is committed to sustainability across the entire value chain

Hevert-Arzneimittel is keen to ensure that all Hevert preparations can be prescribed, sold or used with a good conscience: and not just because they are effective. All customers can also be assured that the preparations are made by a family business that is in close touch with nature and well aware of its responsibility to society and the environment. The annual Hevert corporate sustainability report is a key factor in customer information. It tells all interest groups how Hevert actively practices sustainability and what specific goals and measures were implemented in the previous year.

We are focused on sustainability all the way from the plant in the field to the finished Hevert preparation in the customer's hand.

“To us, sustainability is about behaving in a way that minimizes adverse impacts on the environment and society. We aim to gear our business model towards creating lasting added value, not just for owners, employees or direct stakeholders, but for society as a whole,” explains Mathias Hevert, Managing Director of Hevert-Arzneimittel. “In 2019, we again managed to step up our commitment in many important areas that define the issue of 'sustainability' compared with 2018. This time, we were focused on reducing our consumption of resources while staying true to our underlying values.”

External recognition vindicates the company's approach

This commitment won further external recognition in 2019: Under the motto “sustainable business”, Hevert was one of the winners of the 2019 “Grosser Preis des Mittelstandes”, a set of awards that acknowledge great entrepreneurial vision and the courage to successfully explore new avenues towards sustainability.

The prize winners represent an abundance of entrepreneurial commitment in Germany. They include firms that are among the pioneers of new developments as well as companies that preserve what should be preserved and pass it onto future generations. They are enterprises that steer their course with strong values, a clear strategy and high flexibility. What they have in common is that they focus on people and stabilize their home regions and business cycles on a daily basis.
“We see this recognition of our accomplishments to date as proof that we are on the right path, and this motivates us to invest even more heavily in sustainable projects and rigorously enhance them,” adds Marcus Hevert, Co-Managing Director of Hevert-Arzneimittel. “Ongoing internal and external dialog and a shared desire to achieve meaningful and enduring goals are instrumental here.”
