Hevert-Arzneimittel, a medium-sized expert in naturopathy, continued to grow successfully in 2012. In the last year, the family-run company increased its sales revenues by 5 percent to 17.3 million Euros. In contrast, the German home-market of prescription-free drugs only shows a small plus of 0.6 percent. Massive investment at the German headquarters and a growing export are supposed to ensure and further forward success in 2013.
“Our success is not accidental but we work hard for it. Today, we are already setting the stage for our economic success of tomorrow,” Mathias Hevert, managing director, explains the long-term orientation of the corporate strategy. Extensive modernization and expansion measures will dominate the upcoming months at the headquarters in Nussbaum. In a first step, production and storage capacities for plant-based raw materials were enlarged by building a new annex to existing buildings. Further investment goes to the modernization of production facilities for liquids and tablets. The planned costs amount to over five million Euros.
By expanding production capacities the pharmaceutical company continuously prepares for the opening of new export markets. “We want to strengthen our position in the German market for naturopathy and to climb the world ranking of homoeopathic companies”, Mathias Hevert states.
“By now, we already export our products to the US, the United Arabic Emirates, to Luxemburg as well as Eastern Europe”, Dr. Ralf Weirich, head of marketing, sales and export, adds. “The introduction of two further products in Russia is planned for the first quarter of the year.”
