Mathias Hevert is a new member in the Board of Management of the European Coalition for Homeopathic and Anthroposophic Medicinal Products, ECHAMP. The managing director of Hevert-Arzneimittel was elected as a member of the 15-person strong Board of Management of the European association at the annual Membership Assembly in Vilnius, Lithuania, in April this year. Astrid Sprenger, Weleda A.G. (Germany) was also elected as a new board member. The first board meeting in this new line up took place at the headquarters of the association in Brussels, Belgium, in June.
“I´m looking forward to my new tasks,” Mathias Hevert states. “As an internationally operating specialist for homeopathic medicines the increase in acceptance and publicity of naturopathic medicinal products at EU level is of strategic relevance for us. We are happy to be able to advocate this aim together with other leading European companies at ECHAMP.”
In June, Dr. Gesine Klein, Deutsche Homöopathie-Union, has been elected President of ECHAMP taking over from Mr. Nand De Herdt, Weleda A.G. (Germany), who retires after four years at the helm.
ECHAMP was founded in 1999 and is a European association of companies dedicated to homeopathy and anthroposophy. The aim of the association is to ensure that its members can meet the demand from users and prescribers for homeopathic and anthroposophic medicinal products across the EU. Therefore, it advocates in favor of an appropriate regulatory environment for these products in the EU.
